In theory, that would probably have made for a solid career in politics, but this person 1.) is not extroverted enough for that and 2.) was far too aware of how little they know to dare venture into 'Serious Business'. The world is very complicated. Making cute, colorful things is comparatively easy.
So now there are childrens' books here, and weird print-on-demand articles, and a Patreon community that also includes some painting and 3D modeling tutorials. Buy the things, fellow humans! All the things! Buy my nonsense, and come with me; together, we will embark on a strange, strange journey full of strange, strange tales. :-)

This person is a very socially reclusive person who enjoys making cute, colorful things and pondering serious philosophical thoughts (and keeping their calorie consumption and enthusiasm for pizza and ice cream in decently healthy balance), and would prefer not to engage in excessive self-marketing, albeit they suspect that self-marketing is probably at least partially necessary for successfully establishing an independently self-employed livelihood. They would like to avoid the limelight as much as possible, if they can, and instead put their work/products and the issues that are close to their heart, in the foreground.
Opinion: Children's books (or books for parents) actually aren't about the person who wrote them anyway, but about the people who read them. And, one does not know a person by basic information about their gender, looks, name, or CV - but by how they affect their environment, and the effect they try to have. If you've read the books that someone writes, then you will also learn something about them; about how they think, what they perceive, and what they prioritize - or not.
